After the talk with Shani, Shinikizo was glad to see his mate again and was more than thrilled to see his daughters. He heard they were faring well and that was all he was hopeful for. When Shani left the area, the ridge went silent again and Kizo could feel the eyes of the Lowland pride seeming staring at him, waiting for him to make one wrong move into the Lowland territory. But Shinikizo stayed put and shook his mane slightly. Hidden in his light obsidian mane were two flowers from the Coldlands and he was happy to see that they had survived the trip. The silky soft petals of each flower brushed against his fur and he could feel that they only had a few more days before they would wither and finally die. But at least his daughters would have them before that time came and passed. In his mane were a bright cerulean petaled and a vibrant violet petaled flower, one for each of his daughters to match their eyes. Both of their eyes were inherited from their parents and the male found that should bring them closer to their parents. At least, he hoped it would help bring at least Sakina closer to him.

Girls were much different than boys, and Shinikizo knew that they would need a special kind of approach to get them to open up. Girls loved pretty things it seemed, so flowers straight from the frozen tundra should be enough to make the girls squeal in joy. However this was just all a theory, and Kizo knew that just like his sons, his daughters were sure to be apprehensive. Who wouldn't be after their brothers were torn away from them in early years of their life by some sort of demon. Shinikizo thought to Sakina, how she had hid in the bushes once he came and showed his claws to her mother. That was one thing that he wished that he could change, the fact that he was so violent, so fierce, he just wanted to be a father, he just wanted his sons. He thought that he and Shani had agreed, and although they had, Shani wasn't going to let her boys go. Kizo understood, a mother quickly grows attached to her sons. If only he had gained clearance to bring them to the Coldlands before they were that old.

In fact, he would have had Imara care for the boys if they needed a mother's milk. But they would have knew that this wasn't their mother. Would his sons not hate him if that would have occurred? No, there would have been other ways for his two sons to hate him. But Shinikizo pushed those thoughts out of his mind and he stared into the forest brush. He awaited silently for his little girls to come out of the green shades of plant life. He would offer a simple smile and his tail would flick once or twice. He would never unsheathe his claws, these were his little girls, his little angels! In fact, Malaika did mean angel so there was even more specialty to his relationship with his daughter who looked like her mother. The lion laid down the the grassy clearing and closed his eyes, letting the wind blow through his mane. He felt peaceful here in the ridge, but there was something off. It wasn't his home, it wasn't the pure white snowy terrain that he was used to. And here, he wasn't accepted, he was an enemy of the lands. Hopefully one day his daughters would be able to run to the Coldlands, run through the snow banks where their father and brothers called home. But little did he know, he would not dare live to see that day. He would never see his girls after this again. Ever.

Sakina had been up while the dew still lay over most of the grass and trees of the jungle. She was out chasing a butterfly that had happened to flutter into the lands. She pounced and swatted at it until it made it's way towards the borders. There she stopped as a familiar scent hit her. With her blue eyes going a little wider, she slowly moved forward to get a look to see if it was really him. Her paws lightly touched the ground, trying not to make a sound as she inched closer. Once she realized it was really him, she almost shrank back into the bushes. Her first thought was to run and get Duara and Nyota but she decided not to bolt back. Instead, she almost felt intrigued as she slowly began to crawl towards her father. Her belly close to the ground, brushing against it lightly.

Once she emerged from her hiding spot, her blue eyes looked up to her father. She was not sure what to say. She stood up straight but shifted her hind legs to go into a sitting position. "Hello...daddy..." She said, wondering what he was doing there. She knew that the Coldlands were far, far away. Again, she knew she should probably go get Nyota and Duara and her mother, but decided against it. Perhaps she was misjudging before and their dad meant no harm? The affairs of adults was something she still did not understand. It made sense, since she was still but a growing cub. She thought she heard a noise in the shrubs and it made her jump and look behind her, but it was just a bird taking flight off toward the sky. Sakina looked back at her father and gave smiled sheepishly again, still not sure what to think or do.

So there father was visiting huh? What did he want now? Malaika seemed to have loved and hated her father, she didn't know which one prevailed. Waking up to find Sakina gone so early, she figured she must have slept in a little later than usual. By now Malaika went off in search of her little sister, worried in the back of her mind that Sakina would be gone. Just like their older brothers. Tracking her scent through the jungle, Malaika picked up her pace upon realizing Sakina was near the borders. Was their father over in that direction? Her answer came much too quickly. Her young heart was racing as she caught a wiff of his familiar scent. Was she excited or nervous? The cub could not discern it. Just why was their father here? What purpose could he possibly have?

Treading through the low shrubbery as Malaika neared Sakina, she startled a bird in her path. Her ears heard Sakina greeting their father. Malaika seemed to take a pause from moving further. However her moment of indecision passed over and she emerged, standing beside Sakina. Looking up at their father, Malaika then greeted him. Her voice was obviously filled with coldness, perhaps a hint of sadness that she was unable to hide. "Hello. ... What brings you here?" What Malaika really wanted to ask was if he planned on taking their last brother or anyone else with him to the Coldlands. The cub's eyebrows then raised, noticing his stance. He wasn't appearing threatening, his claws were not out. In fact, it seemed she had glimpsed him... smiling?

Malaika then grew confused but still a bit guarded. What was going on?

A rustle from the brush in front of Shinikizo had brought his attention from sleeping to his two little girls who stumbled out of the green foliage. Shinikizo couldn't be happier as he stood tall, a large smile on his face and softened eyes. "My little girls! Y-You remember me!" Well, who could forget the lion that attacked their mother just to take their brothers to some god-forsaken wasteland? When Malaika asked what the lion was doing here, Kizo smiled and nodded his head, "Me and your brothers came for a visit, they're somewhere in the jungles but I can't follow them. Queen Nyota and Queen Duara really don't want me in the Lowlands, but they allowed me to stay here," The dual colored eyed male looked at his girls, smiling at how much they had grown in the time he and his sons had been in the Coldlands. It only made him wonder about the status of their brother who had been delegated to stay behind with his mother. The lion smiled and held out his paw as a greeting. "Can you guys muster up a hug for your dear ol' dad? Trust me darlings, there's nothing to be afraid of, I won't hurt you."

After the girls would either deny or accept the invitation for the hug, Shinikizo would smile and crouch down into a playful position, whispering something for his daughters to hear. "I brought you both something from the Coldlands! I hope you like them," The male then reached inside of his mane and found the two flowers that had been trying to escape the grasp of the dark obsidian hair that grew on the tan male's body. He fumbled for a moment and then pulled them out, happy to see they were in a better condition than he thought they would be in. Shinikizo laid the two flowers in front of his children and smiled. "These flowers only grow where me and your brothers live, the purple one is for you Malaika and the blue one is for you Sakina. I think they match your eyes perfectly!" Shinikizo chuckled and winked, sitting down moments later to watch his little girls' reactions.

Sakina was also wondering what her father wanted, but Malaika had arrived and asked before Sakina could. The muddy colored cub remained quiet but could not hide the smile that crept upon her own maw at Shinikizo being happy that they had remembered him. Of course they did, but probably in the wrong way. He was the one that came and scared Sakina, and took away their two brothers, leaving the two girls and their last brother in the Lowlands. It was then Shinikizo had announced that their brothers were here too but he did not know where. She imagined by now they were probably with Shani and the queens by now, but Shinikizo could not come in. Sakina gave a nod, not sure what else to say. When Shinikizo wanted a hug from them, Sakina slowly crept closer before going over to give her dad a hug, the best that she could anyways.

After she drew closer and gave him the hug, Shinikizo whispered how he brought something from the Coldlands. She watched as Shinikizo fished out two flowers from his mane that he laid on the ground. Her blue eyes stared in wonder at the two. They were beautiful, and she could not help but to notice that. She did not really want to be close to her father, since it felt like those she were close to all would go away. "They're pretty!" She said as she reached a small paw out and placed it on the blue one, drawing it close to her but not sure what else to do with it. Her blue eyes lifted up towards her father again before giving a glimpse to her sister to see what she thought about all of this.
