Appearance: Demani is a youthful lioness, not overly tall but overly small. Though her stature is average, her features are not. She has a coat of a rich, chocolate-y red colour that could also be known as 'auburn', but more brown. The tuft on her head gives off a rather tom-boyish appearance, for it is obvious she is not male. Her eyes are a soft yellow, with a lovely, pale orange iris. Thought her coat may be dark, an even darker red-brown colour can be found on her ears, tipping the tops of them and shaped like triangles. This is what sets Demani apart from other lionesses, and makes her more unique. Despite the darkness of her coat, Demani has a lovely tan underbelly. All in all, a rather unique looking lioness.

Personality: Demani has a very wholesome personality indeed, compared to most lionesses her age. Whilst most would be off, exploring the new world and being a little dare-devilish, Demani is far more mature than what to be expected of her age. She is quite a bit more serious than her sister, Kianga, and has a less bubbly personality. She is very sweet, kind, caring and gentle, but does not hold any out-there sort of traits when you first meet her. She's more the lioness in the background, the one with all of the cubs surrounding her.
Demani takes her job very seriously, another trait of hers. She feels responsible for their well-being, and is thorough. She would never leave a job half done, and takes care of the cubs fully. Despite this, once you break through her responsible, mature and serious exterior, you will find a playful and generally loveable lioness underneath. However, when the going gets tough, Demani can turn completely and utterly protective in a split second and would do anything to protect her Pride, and the cubs.

History: In the peaceful place where the jungle is filled with beauty, called the Lowlands, there was once a war. A war that ruined the Lowlanders home, and tore apart not just a majority of families, but the royal family itself. Fortunately for Demani and her sister, Kianga, the two of them were born after the war had taken place to a lioness who had lost her mate in the battle. Her mother was not as sour as one would expect the widowed lioness to be, for her mate had been named a 'hero' among the Pride, and the young cub was proud of her father and wanted to prove herself a worthy Pride member. It is for this reason that Demani became serious and wise beyond her years, and took on the responsibility of the cubs, and has vowed to always protect the Lowlanders. However, this was not the only reason that Demani became so serious, and often a little hush hush about what happened that day she vanished, and returned late in the evening covered in dirt and a complete and utter haunted look on her face.
Demani had been a curious cub, always wanting to know more about the world and everything it had to offer. It took a lot to sate Demani's curiosity, and so it was often that she was sent off to play in the cave with her sister. Un-lucky for Demani, she often became bored of hanging around her sister and would set off on an adventure in the jungle. It was one day, that she had been wondering since dawn, that she reached the edge of the forest just as mid-morning arrived. She discovered endless fields with curious things to explore, and a herd of zebra got the cub excited. She chased after them playfully, but after they realised she was so little and only meant to play, the zebra humoured her for a while. Soon, though, it was noon and the zebra set off to a new grazing ground, the little cub left behind to her boredom once more. In this boredom, she set off back towards the jungle when she saw a cub being ripped apart by a lion. He found her scent, and for the rest of the day Demani hid in a ditch, scared for a life as she was too timid to see if he had gone. When she finally plucked up the courage, Demani swore that she would never allow another cub to be harmed like that again, hence her position as cub sitter.
