Appearance:
Usiku is of average size for a male lion his age, with strong limbs and a lean body. His top coat is a dark ashen gray in color, while his underbelly, muzzle, under lining of his eyes and toes are an even lighter silver gray. His nose is a pale washed out darker pink in color and cleary shaped like that of an Outlander with sharp curves and an elegant shape. His very out of control mane is a deep black, sometimes mistaken for a navy in color and it shares this color with his equally unruly tail tip.

He think the unruly nature of his mane gives him charm and a more rogueish appearance so he's happy with not trying to tame it even if his mother had always groaned over it while he was with her. His eyeshades as well as his inner ears are a brackish brownish black in color, and share that with the markings near his eyes. These markings he inherited from his father are shaped like teardrops, turned to the side, the largest one being on top near the corner of his eye while a smaller one sits under it.

His eyes themselves come from his mother just like the rest of his colors, besides his mane, which came from his father. THey are a frosty blue in color, ringed by the palest of yellows. They can be luminous in the right light and he enjoys sneaking around in the dark, to startle others when he sprins them fully open. There isn't much more to say about him except that generally he has a rough around the edges appearance with angulary but fluffy cheeks as well as a slim but slightly pointy cornered muzzle possessing a mischievous smile most of the time.

Personality:
Siku is a cocky lion, he believes that he's easily the best here is around, this comes from a spoon fed adoration from his mother. Due to his father not sticking around she became fiercly dependent on him as he grew and taught him all he needed to know, making him practice rigorously to make him the lion she needed him to be. Her reasons were purely selfish, she needed a lion to protect her, to help provide for her when she was old and so she molded Siku into this but also tried to instill in him the traits of his father. He grew to be cocky because of her adoration and his quick maturation before his siblings who one after the other died while he survived.

He did gain some good skills from such things and became a fierce fighter, he's not usually merciful with his opponents, instead doing whatever it takes to take them down and often times mocking them with a smirk. He hasn't learned humility and this also transfers over to his interactions with lionesses, he thinks he's quite the catch and will expect the ladies to simply swoon over him when he struts his skills and stuff as a hunter and fighter. Of course this won't always work and for some reason he's always had an aversion to settling down, having cubs means being a father, and that means a permanent settling with the lioness in question. He doesn't want that and as such tries not to mate with lionesses if he can help. He does enjoy the pursuit however and doesn't bother not to woo them, even if his intentions aren't to mate. He's a heartbreaker, plain and simple.

Usiku has never been in love and his cocky, sarcastic attitude likely won't attract a decent female for a while yet but when he does eventually love you'll see a side of him you haven't before. He'll be fiercly loyal and protective as well as clumsily sweet, he hasn't had much practice being sweet in a sincere manner so he might actually be a bit awkward with a female he genuinely likes but he has yet to test this obviously. In the end Usiku just wants to have a blast in life, doing things to impress and make his name known and break a few hearts along the way. Whether more comes of it or not will have to be seen.

History:
Siku was born to Danai after she had a fling with a fellow rogue named Kifo. The pale male copulated with her after a short courtship and left her when he found her pregnant, revealing he had a home pride and returning to it without a backward glance. The departure left Danai distraught, she had thought herself in love with the male and he the same but now sh was left to care for cubs all on her own in a harsh world. When her cubs were born they were all less than healthy except for the biggest of them all, a darkly colored male who looked like her.

Despite not wanting to take favorites she found herself doing so and she made sure the male she named Usiku always had plenty to eat. It would possibly be this neglect that would later kill off his siblings one by one until he was the only one left. He was merely one year old by the time he became an only cub, but by this time his mother had explained things to him, that he was meant to live because he was the best and there to take care of his mother. He believe the female's lies and took to any training she gave him, fighting, hunting, foraging and tactics all became part of his childhood. In his off time he took to trying dangerous feats, leaping over sleeping hippos or climbing through infested swamps to see how softly he could move.

Luck seemed to run with him and he always made it back to his mother safely. As he grew his mothers mind would continue to deteriorate slowly as she obsessed over him leaving, she had seen him lingering near borders, conversing with pretty little females and she knew it was only a short time before he found a female he wanted to settle with. In her emotion she would make a fatal mistake while hunting with him and take a nasty tumble down the side of a ravine, shattering bones that would puncture vital organs. In her dying moments she strove to tell her son the truth but she couldn't get it all out before her last breath left her and only left him with the knowledge that he should never be like his father.

So he vowed that he wouldn't spawn cubs without the intention of raising them before setting off to find his place in the world. Being a rogue was fun but he was a social creature, he needed companions and eventually he would run into the Outlands Pride. Asking for safe haven and being as charming as possible he would pledge his allegiance to them and find himself in a pride. He's curious to see where it will get him.
